X-Rays
The most common types of Intra-Oral Radiographs include Intra-Oral Periapical Radiograph (IOPA Radiograph), Bitewing Radiograph as well as Occlusal Radiograph.
IOPA Radiographs are indicated for the assessment of tooth decay (dental caries), periodontal condition, endodontic treatment, dental implant, tooth morphology, root morphology, trauma, cysts, foreign body, tooth anomalies, supernumerary teeth, relationship of impacted teeth, dental diseases, preoperative assessment as well as postoperative assessment.
X-Rays
Extraoral radiographs are very useful for evaluating large areas of the skull and jaws but are not adequate for detection of subtle changes such as the early stages of dental caries or periodontal disease.
There are many types of extraoral radiographs. Some types are used to view the entire skull, whereas other types focus on the maxilla and mandible.
Dr Pradeep Velagapudi is an experienced Dentist graduated in 2004.He is practising dentistry for over 15 years with a wealth of clinical knowledge and practical skills. He has worked in both public and private sectors.
Dr Pradeep has worked in the role of Senior Dentist and Clinical Supervisor at Toowoomba Oral Health Services until 2020 . He is our Principal Dentist and involved with the Garden City Dental Practice for the last 8 years.
Dr Pradeep is an enthusiastic learner constantly updating his clinical knowledge and skills through continuing professional development attending various dental conferences and seminars. He enjoys practising all aspects of dentistry with a special focus on single visit crowns, veneers, smile makeovers, aligners, implants and wisdom teeth removal.
For the last 10 years Dr Pradeep has called Toowoomba home. He loves to play tennis on weekends and also loves to spent time with his two kids when not practising dentistry.
Dr Neha Kansagara is an experienced dentist who has been practicing in Toowoomba for over 12 years. Dr Neha graduated with a bachelor of dental surgery in 2006 with a wealth of clinical knowledge and practical skills.
Dr Neha brings her experience and dental knowledge to the practice. Her warm, caring, and gentle approach making her an amazing dentist for children as well as adults. She practices all areas of general dentistry including dental emergencies. Her special interest is in cosmetic dentistry which includes White Fillings, Root canal treatments, Veneers and Crowns.
Apart from her dental work, she enjoys spending time with her family and likes to read interesting articles.

Garden City Dental Practice is the first commercial customer in Australia for Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC). The concrete in our carpark and surrounding concrete areas contain no cement; therefore 9,016kg CO2 emissions were saved during their construction. EFC is a geo polymer concrete using a binging system of fly ash and granulated slag (GGBS) alkaline activated.
Paperless
We aim to be a paperless office and opt out of paper communications wherever possible in favour of email and scanning.
Recycle
We recycle paper and biodegradable plastic products and use biodegradable plastic barriers on our equipment.
Water Consumption
We keep water consumption to a minimum by star rating water efficient taps and the toilet uses tank water.
Radiography
We use digital radiography in our practice, eliminating the need for film, film storage and hazardous developing chemicals waste.
Using Recycled Paper
Paper towels, office paper and paper bags for oral hygiene products are made from recycled paper.
Fully Solar
We run on full solar, including a solar hot water system which is generated by glass and copper heat collectors on the roof.
